Representing some of the world’s finest independent hotels, Great Hotels of the World announce the launch of new luxurious spa treatments across its collection of some of the finest spa hotels.

Reinvigorate the body in London
Having launched its new £1.5million spa in June, the Landmark Hotel London has similarly revitalised its spa menu. New to the elegant and contemporary spa is a range of natural body envelopment treatments, which encourage gentle perspiration to eliminate toxins and aid absorption of the wrap oils, are designed to also provide a life enhancing experience. Lymphatic skin brushing and body exfoliation are followed by a body wrap of either marine algae (for hydration and detoxification), marine mud (nourishing dry, dehydrated skin) or oshadi clay (benefiting aching muscles and joints) before a final oriental head massage completes the journey. Also new is the spa’s signature treatment, which involves a foot ritual, exfoliation, aromatherapy massage, use of hot basalt stones, application of marine mud, a facial, scalp massage and application of body cream to truly indulge and reinvigorate the whole body.

Stimulate the body in Jordan
Located along the shores of Jordan’s Dead Sea, the Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea is launching a range of regionally inspired treatments at its Zara Spa. New packages include a King Saloman Revitalising Journey, Queen of Sheba Rejuvenation and Cleopatra Thalgo Body Indulgence experience. All packages last around three hours and include Dead Sea treatments such as salt scrubs, hot towel steam facials, mud wraps and mud facials designed to gently stimulate and reinvigorate. A range of individual treatments are also available which harness the renowned powers of the Dead Sea, including those involving dry flotation and natural Thalgo cosmetics.

Restore the body in Tuscany
Set in the heart of Tuscany, the stunning Grotta Giusti Natural Spa Resort is introducing of a new range of Oriental treatments to its already popular spa menu. New treatments include the Cikitsa Yoga Massage which helps correct posture and restore energy to the body and mind. Also newly available at thespa is the Five Zen treatment, specifically designed for couples, which teaches guests how to listen to their energy flow as well as their partner’s. Grotta Giusti Natural Spa Resort benefits from its very own thermal grotto, a fascinating natural cave with a hot water underground lake, where guests can enjoy a detoxifying steam bath.
Heal the body on the Island of Boracay
Mandala Spa & Villas, located on the magical paradise island of Boracay in the Philippines, has recently launched a one hour and 45 minute Hilot Trilogy massage, which is designed to focus on the areas of imbalance in the body. An ancient Filipino healing method, the head to toe massage is perfect for anyone who wants to relieve the stresses and strains of everyday life, whilst re-balancing the body’s energies. Guests can enjoy the diversity of treatments available in the exclusively tropical sanctuary which also offers idyllic and spacious villa accommodation.

Relax the body in Sri Lanka
The enchanting Sahana Spa at Saman Villas, located overlooking two of Sri Lanka’s most beautiful golden beaches, is adding a Shirodhara treatment to its current spa menu which focuses on the age old traditions of natural healing. The 30 minute Shirodhara treatment, which involves a steady flow of warm oil being poured onto the forehead, follows a 45 minute Indian Head Massage and precedes a gentle foot massage. The Sahana Spa has also recently launched a Hot Stone massage which incorporates the ancient healing art of stone therapy. The warm stones are placed strategically to relax the body to its deepest level to create harmony and balance.

Revitalise the body in Turkey
The Hillside Beach Club, located in a private bay surrounded by pine tress and crystal blue waters, is creating a new Deeksha Energy programme. Deeksha is a means of harnessing the individual’s spiritual energy to obtain a physical and mental balance and involves the Deeksha therapist placing their hands on the crown of the head to transfer energy. Experiences will differ depending on the individual as the reactions to the energy transfer can be subtle or extremely strong but all will feel a blissful flow of energy sweeping smoothly through thebody. Guests can also enjoy the range of extensive spa and beauty treatments as well as experience the open-air spa area on the beach.
