Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) is continuing its selective expansion with the addition of its first members in Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic to augment its luxury portfolio in the Caribbean region. The elegant Paradisus Playa Conchal Resort in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, becomes ALHI’s first member in that country. In Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the luxurious Paradisus Palma Real Resort and the impressive Paradisus Punta Cana Resort join as ALHI’s first members in that country. All three resorts are part of the new “Platinum Portfolio” by Sol Melia Hotels & Resorts.

The 406-suite Paradisus Playa Conchal Resort in Costa Rica is a luxurious all-inclusive beach and golf resort that specializes in the upper-tier incentive and meeting markets, with meeting space that can accommodate up to 600 people, as well as many spectacular outdoor venues. The resort’s 12,447 square feet of meeting space can accommodate up to 850 for a banquet, and its 510 oversized suites each feature such luxurious offerings as Mahogany furniture, marble floors, a Jacuzzi® for two, a flat-screen TV, and a private terrace or balcony. An additional 200 very high-end rooms are being added, with completion slated for December 2008. The resort boasts three pools (which includes a 37,600-square-foot main pool), an elegant spa, a health club, golf privileges at Cocotal Golf & Country Club, three tennis courts, a casino, seven restaurants, and eight bars. Paradisus Punta Cana Resort, which just completed an impressive $37 million renovation, is located right on the Dominican Republic’s picturesque coastline in one of the most prestigious corners of Punta Cana. Featuring 689 oversized suites and 24,620 square feet of flexible meeting space in 11 meeting rooms, the resort is situated on renowned Bavaro Beach.
