La Samanna, one of the most distinguished resorts in the Caribbean, has announced plans for the rental and sale of eight new luxury villas adjacent to the hotel. The first villa is already completed, with four more opening in December 2008, and the remaining three available by Spring 2009.
Located on a bluff with stunning, panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and Baie Longue, each 4,600 square foot villa combines graceful Mediterranean architecture with a Caribbean spirit, with generously sized living rooms, master bedrooms and private terraces.
Each property features a sunken living room, wrap-around terrace and pool, outdoor shower, outdoor and indoor dining rooms, fully equipped kitchen, an office area, three or four bedrooms with their own bathrooms, and a second floor terrace with breathtaking views.
Marc-Michaels Interior Design has created a unique identity for the interior of each Villa, with colourful, patterned linen fabrics contrasting with soft backgrounds. The décor has a "take your shoes off" island sensibility, whilst also giving a nod to the Mediterranean architecture of La Samanna and the French culture of St. Martin, blending antique and contemporary furnishings to create a European, "barefoot elegance."
Complimentary amenities for those staying in the villas include VIP airport transfers, private villa concierge desk, twice daily housekeeping service, garden and pool maintenance, access to La Samanna's services and facilities, and a private beach cabana with beach butler service (holiday season only). The concierges are happy to accommodate any requirements, and can arrange such services as a private butler, private 43-foot power boat for charters to the neighbouring islands of Anguilla and St. Barts, private chef, full-time maid, full-time nanny or fresh flowers for the whole villa.
The first villas will be available for rental on 20 December, 2008. Rental rates range from US$3,000 (from £ 1,725) per night in low season to US$8,500 (£ 4,900) per night during high season. A select number of the villas will be sold to loyal customers of La Samanna.
