hotel, The Lotte Hotel Seoul – Downtown has just completed and unveiled its brand
new Ladies’ Floor, becoming the first hotel in Korea to dedicate an entire floor
exclusively for the use of female guests.
The new Ladies’ Floor is located on the 22nd floor of the Main Building of Lotte Hotel
Seoul, and comprises a club lounge and 22 rooms, including 21 deluxe rooms and
one suite.
The Main Building has been under renovation since 2007, with four of the most
world-renowned hotel design firms, SOM, Wilson & Associates, HBA, and Babey
Moulton engaged on the project. Each of the guest floors in the hotel has been
designed differently. Meanwhile, the third phase of the hotel’s renovation is currently
underway.
Wilson & Associates was tasked with designing the Ladies’ Floor, creating a
luxurious, elegant, and trendy space. Renowned French florist Christian Tortu also
created the interior decorations, adding an additional touch of sophistication.
The theme of the Ladies’ Floor rooms is nature, with the accent on flowers, trees,
and forests. All the rooms are equipped with Jacuzzis and hair dryers. The
guestrooms’ luxury amenities include cosmetics by L’Occitane, a brand known for
environmentally-friendly formulas, specially-designed towels, female slippers in two
different sizes, organic and beauty beverages, and a small jewelry box for personal
accessories.
The Ladies’ Floor Lounge has been designed to resemble a library and is filled with
some 800 books specializing in cooking, fashion, travel, architecture, beauty, and
interior design. Cultural magazines are also available to provide guests with
information on movies, musicals, and concerts.
Guests of the Ladies’ Floor are also entitled to a special duty free store coupon of 5 -
15% discount as Gold VIP customers. The duty free store manager can also provide
a personal shopping service on request. The in-room welcome amenities include
wine, macaroons, and fruits. Hair and make-up services are also available in the
guest rooms by appointment.
Guest rooms on The Ladies’ Floors need to be booked in advance.
In celebration of the grand opening of the Ladies’ Floor, Lotte Hotel Seoul has
dedicated the first weeks of December, March, and June as “Ladies’ Week”. Female
guests checking in during any of these special weeks will receive a complimentary
nail care coupon and a welcome flower bouquet arranged by Christian Tortu.
