Benchmark Hospitality International Appoints Diana Wellman Director of Catering and Food Services at Naples Bay Resort (United States)

Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Diana Wellman as director of catering and food services for Naples Bay Resort, the luxury property that opened last February in Naples, Florida. Greg Allowe, Benchmark’s managing director at the resort, made the announcement.

“I am pleased to welcome Diana to Naples Bay Resort,” said Mr. Allowe. “This is a return to Benchmark Hospitality for her and we’re so happy she has joined our executive team. We look forward to Diana contributing her vast hospitality expertise, gained over two decades, to the success of our resort.”

Diana Wellman previously worked with Island Global Yachting of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Montauk Yacht Club of Montauk, New York, providing consultation utilizing her vast operational experience within the hospitality industry. Prior to this, she was part of the Benchmark Hospitality organization, serving as director of conference services for Cheyenne Mountain Resort of Colorado Springs. She originally joined the resort as director of planning. Ms. Wellman’s first position with Benchmark was as a key member of a special task force working on projects in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Prior to joining Benchmark Hospitality International, Diana Wellman and her husband owned and operated a dude ranch in Montana, putting her hospitality skills to work for the family business.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Wellman worked in senior management for International Conference Resorts (ICR), a hospitality management company later purchased by Benchmark in 2001. While with ICR, Ms. Wellman was employed in sales & marketing and meeting management positions at Seabrook Island near Charleston; Scottsdale Resort and Conference Center in Scottsdale, Barton Creek Resort of Austin, Cheyenne Mountain Resort, and Graylyn International Conference Center of Winston-Salem. She launched her hospitality career at the landmark Kiawah Island Golf Resort near Charleston.

Diana Wellman is a graduate of New Hampshire Technical College. She is relocating to Naples.
