The Leading Hotel Schools of the World – the network of internationally renowned hotel schools that provide cutting-edge educational opportunities for members of The Leading Hotels of the World – has recently added Norwegian School of Hotel Management, University of Stavanger, and the Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec in Montreal, Canada, to its international portfolio. Designed to offer member hotels innovative employment solutions through the placement of qualified interns and graduates, the program was established by The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. as part of its commitment to fostering the future of the hospitality industry by supporting the aspirations of today’s youth.

Among those criteria are: having a dedicated hotel program, offering an accredited bachelor’s degree program, being recognized as a reputable hotel management institution within its country, having hotel industry leaders on an advisory board, offering a curriculum that includes lectures given by industry authorities and having graduates employed in the industry for at least two years.

Norwegian School of Hotel Management, University of Stavanger, and the Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec become the tenth and eleventh members of The Leading Hotel Schools of the World. The network also includes HAAGA-HELIA University of Applied Sciences (Helsinki, Finland); Hotelschool The Hague (The Hague, Netherlands); INACAP, Instituto Nacional de Capacitacion Profesional (Chile, South America) ; International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef (Bad Honnef, Germany); Niagara University (Niagara Falls, New York); Pacific International Hotel Management School (New Plymouth, New Zealand); The Institute of Hotel Management (Aurangabad, India); Universidad del Este: International School of Tourism and Hospitality Management (Caroline, Puerto Rico); and Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola (Lima, Peru).

“We are pleased to welcome the Norwegian School of Hotel Management and the Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec as the newest members of The Leading Hotel Schools of the World,” said Ted Teng, president and chief executive officer of The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. “The future success of our business depends on the skills and enthusiasm of a talent pool of well-educated and highly motivated individuals.
