Global hospitality interior design firm, HBA, came away from the prestigious 6th Annual Hospitality Design Awards for Creative Achievement with an unprecedented six awards, including “Best in Show” for Four Seasons Seychelles. The awards, created by Hospitality Design (HD) magazine, are among the most coveted in the industry.

Selected by a panel of celebrated industry judges, the winning and finalist designs were recognized at a ceremony held in the historic Hudson Theatre at the Millennium Broadway Hotel on June 10, 2010. More than 200 dignitaries and design industry members attended the event.

HBA won in the following categories:
· Best Overall Resort Design: Winner, Four Seasons Seychelles.
· Best Luxury Guestroom/Suite Design: Winner, Four Seasons Seychelles.
· Best Luxury Public Space Design: Winner, Qasr Al Sarab. Runner-Up Finalist: St Regis Atlanta.
· Best Overall Spa Design: Qasr Al Sarab.

“HBA could not be more pleased by this recognition,” said Ian Carr, Principal at HBA Singapore who attended the event with co-Principal Connie Puar. “We have been privileged to work with several of the world’s most extraordinary hospitality brands, and to be honored this way by our peers is a compliment nearly equal to that of the trust of our clients.”

Connie Puar sees significance in the variety of the award-winning designs. “These three properties make wildly different design statements. Taken together, they give a sense of the unique ability HBA has to bring innovation to any project, anywhere. ” Puar said. “We draw on the talents of literally hundreds of gifted designers to develop brand-defining interiors.”
