Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has launched French and Arabic-language websites across five more hotels in another sign of the Swiss chain boosting its communication links with global travellers.

French speakers can now be at ease when accessing information about hotels in Amsterdam, Voorburg and ‘s-Hertogenbosch, while Arabian travellers can similarly find details about the company’s Beirut and Bahrain properties in their own language.

The move follows an extensive roll-out of language-specific websites last year, and Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts now has 35 sites available in Arabic, 17 in Russian and an additional twelve hotels in French.

Heiko Siebert, Vice President Distribution, said the multi-lingual projects have been launched in order to provide travellers with information in their mother tongue.

“This manifested itself not only in the technical challenges, but also through a daily contact with the languages,” he said.

“We are confident that this project will enhance the online experience of our guests and we will continue to explore their use globally. While English is the accepted international language of choice, it’s important to remember that traveller are more comfortable with reading (prefer to read) information about arrival, facilities and available services in their own language.”
