Rendezvous Announces Strategic Senior Sales & Marketing Appointment (Australie)

Rendezvous Hotels & Resorts International (Rendezvous) is pleased to announce the
appointment of Michael Meade to the role of Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the group.
Mr. Meade will take responsibility for all Rendezvous’ sales and marketing strategies and activities. Michael
will take up the role in January 2008.
Mr. Meade comes to Rendezvous from a similar role in Shanghai with Jin Jiang Hotels, China’s largest hotel
company with over 310 hotels and inns. Prior to this, he held the position of Regional Director of Marketing,
Australia, New Zealand, South Pacific for Intercontinental Hotels Group, responsible for the sales and
marketing function for over 45 hotels across five brands. Mr. Meade has a proven track record with
multinational companies and individual hotel operations.
Rendezvous’ Chief Executive Mr. Alan Featherby says, “We are extremely pleased to announce Michael’s
appointment. Michael’s role is vital as we continue to expand the group throughout the region. He will bring a
strong international background and extensive strategic marketing experience to our group efforts and will
make an important contribution to our senior executive team.
With the 10th anniversary of the Rendezvous group now behind us, our clear focus, under Michael’s
leadership, is to move to a position of leadership in marketing programs and market penetration. With 14
hotels already operating under the Rendezvous and Marque brands and the plan to double this over the next
five years, it is imperative that Rendezvous continues to focus on programs and people that will deliver
market leadership. Rendezvous is now being recognised as one of the dynamic international operators in
the Asian Pacific area.”
