‘Best Luxury Cruise Company’ goes to Silversea for second year running
Ultra luxury cruise line Silversea was last night voted ‘Best Cruise Company, Luxury’ at the Travel Weekly Globe Awards at a glamourous ceremony in London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
The prestigious award is voted for by UK travel agent readers of the top trade publication Travel Weekly and is widely regarded as an authoritative indicator of trade opinion.
Speaking after last night’s ceremony, Silversea UK Managing Director, Trudy Redfern, said, ‘We are delighted to have won this high profile award for the second consecutive year,” she continued “with so many new products and innovations being developed at Silversea, we look forward to continuing the good working relationship we have with our UK agents for many more years to come.”
This award is an exciting start of 2008 for Silversea who is currently finalising details of its first expedition ship, due to launch later in 2008 after a multi-million pound refurbishment and renaming ceremony. Following the steel cutting ceremony which took place in Italy last week, Silversea will launch a new-build 540 guest vessel in December 2009 further enhancing its fleet of six star rated ships.
