The new markets added to the survey include 12 markets in Asia, 13 markets in Europe and four markets in the Middle East & Africa listed below. The HotelBenchmark™ Survey by Deloitte is the world’s largest hotel performance database tracking the occupancy, average room rate and revenue per available (revPAR) performance of over 7,800 chain and independently operated hotels. Lorna Clarke, Executive Director of HotelBenchmark™ commented: “This is a great start to 2008 especially off the back of the 24 markets launched in the latter part of last year. The UK has enjoyed a particular boost with over 20 markets added since this time last year. At HotelBenchmark™ we have always been committed to reporting on more markets around the world to meet our clients’ needs for hotel performance data and I am delighted that the survey just keeps getting bigger and better”.
