The international hotel brand Design Hotels™ will be celebrating its 15th birthday at the ITB this year from 5-9 March in Hall 9, Stand 311. Since its founding in 1993, the company has grown to encompass an extensive portfolio of sales, marketing and revenue services for its 170 member hotels worldwide.
News at the ITB:38 new properties, the launch of the Design Hotels™’ re-designed magazine Directions and a new satellite office to open in Perth, Australia this March.
DIRECTIONS TO DREAM ON
The sixth issue of Directions, themed “Dreams”, will be launched at the ITB and features a conceptual and visual re-design. Readers can begin their journey at either end of the reversible magazine, choosing between thought-provoking articles and – on the flip side – the “Locator” guide to member hotels. The practical format of this new issue is enhanced with fresh graphic design and reader-friendly language throughout.
The 100 paged editorial section is composed of articles that inform and inspire. Among them are pieces on democratic design, the nostalgic side of Lisbon and the best beds worldwide. For balance, large image stretches by Zena Holloway and other star photographers invite the reader to delve in and dream.
DESIGN HOTELS™ DOWN UNDER
The company opens its first office in Perth this March and also welcomes its first Australian member hotel, The Limes in Brisbane. “We feel that it is time to approach this continent,” says Iain Ainsworth, Executive Vice President. “The opening of this additional office within the region demonstrates our clear development strategy and marks our commitment to building stronger relations within the marketplace, with new hotels, press and the travel trade."
