The resort will be the first in Maldives to feature over-the-water duplex villas

Raffles Hotels & Resorts is set to make its debut in Maldives in April 2009, with a spectacular allvilla
resort on Gaafu Dhaal atoll, located in the southern part of Maldives. Raffles Resort Konottaa, Maldives, features 49
luxurious duplex villas, including 21 over-the-water duplex villas which are the first of its kind in Maldives.
Villas at Raffles Resort Konottaa are either set on the white sand beach or built over the water, offering residents unfettered views of the sparkling azure sea. All villas are generously sized at a minimum of 118 square metres, and each boasts a private plunge pool, gazebo and terrace for al fresco dining as well as an elegantly appointed bathroom with an island bath. Residents at Raffles Resort Konottaa who wish to soak up the sun in privacy, will be able to do so on their personal sun deck located on the second level of their villa, which comes complete with a spa pool and an open shower. The Water Villas will additionally feature glass panels strategically placed in the verandah and bedroom, affording residents a view of the marine life below. Residents seeking supreme exclusivity can look forward to the immense two bedroom duplex over-the-water Raffles Villa, perched on the west side of the island to offer unobstructed views of the glorious sunset. A well stocked bar, dining pavilion, as well as the formal living area on the second level, makes the villa eminently suited for private celebrations. Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the lap pool, spa and gym within the Raffles Villa. In addition, a nanny's room and pantry also feature in this magnificent villa.
A highlight at Raffles Resort Konottaa is its garden comprising of native flora and foliage that has been faithfully conserved and protected throughout the resort’s construction phase. Occupying 1,200 square metres, the garden offers a picturesque backdrop in which residents can jog, meditate, or even hold wedding celebrations.
Other recreational features at Raffles Resort Konottaa include a library, tennis court, as well as a pool with a pool bar. The resort also offers boundless options for diving and a dive school within the resort offers lessons for the novice. At Raffles Resort Konottaa, residents will also be able to enjoy a rejuvenating spa experience at RafflesAmrita Spa, a signature component found at all Raffles hotels and resorts around the world. The resort’s spa features private treatment villas, a lap pool, a state-of-the-art hydro pool, an aqua gym as well as a hair salon.
When it comes to dining, residents at Raffles Resort Konottaa will have four restaurants and bars to choose from. The grill room offers residents an elegant dining experience, while the all day dining restaurant serves culinary creations in a casual ambience. The main bar also features a private dining room for 12 ensconced within an extensive wine cellar, and a spa restaurant and juice bar at RafflesAmrita Spa, offers a vast selection for health conscious residents.

Raffles Resort Konottaa is accessible via a 50 minute flight from Male to Kaadedhdhoo airport, followed by a 15 minute ride on the Raffles speedboat to the resort.
