A further deluxe hotel has been added to the portfolio of Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts in Germany: Swissôtel Dresden. The management contract between the Zurich-based hotel chain and Baywobau Dresden GmbH, a property developer with numerous ongoing projects in Dresden, has just been signed. The grand opening of the 5-star Swissôtel Dresden, planned for spring 2010, will enhance the portfolio of the international hotel chain with Swiss heritage.

“Now that we have already successfully operated hotels in Düsseldorf and Berlin for a number of years and will be opening a new hotel in Bremen shortly, we look forward to further growth on the German market,” says Meinhard Huck, President of Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts. “Dresden has many sights and attractions, including the Church of Our Lady, the Zwinger Palace, the Semper Opera House, the Residence Palace, major art collections and imposing riverside walks. Our central Dresden location is where we will soon be extending our excellent hospitality and services to our international guests.”

With its 235 rooms and suites, a restaurant, a lobby bar, meeting rooms, a ballroom and a health & beauty area, the elegant new hotel will offer individual and business travellers the service they expect. What will also make the hotel extra special is its prime location and its immediate vicinity to all of the major attractions of the historical city of Dresden.
