Sun Bee, director of sales and marketing for the Embassy Suites-Waikiki Beach Walk, is pleased to announce the promotion of Shantel Burns to Sales Manager. In her new role, Burns is responsible for working with travel industry and wholesale partners and 3rd party distribution sales efforts for Embassy Suites-Waikiki Beach Walk. Additionally, Burns will manage all special retail promotions for the resort.
"Since joining our resort in October 2007 as sales coordinator, Shantel has become a vital member of our sales team. In just a few short months, Shantel has established excellent relationships with our travel partners and
has gained a keen understanding of the Embassy brand," said Sun Bee, director of sales and marketing for the Embassy Suites-Waikiki Beach Walk. "Shantel's hard work, dedication and great can-do attitude will continue to be an important part of our efforts at the Embassy Suites-Waikiki Beach Walk
as she takes on her new responsibilities as Sales Manager."
Burns has been in the hospitality industry for 20 years and has held numerous managerial positions in sales and hotel reservations. Prior to joining Embassy Suites-Waikiki Beach Walk, Burns worked for distinguished companies including Apple Vacations Hawaii, NCL America and ResortQuest Hawaii formerly Aston Hotels & Resorts.
