Homewood Suites by Hilton, the international brand of all-suite, residential-style hotels, today announced the opening of its newest property in Daphne, Alabama on Mobile’s East Bay. The 104-suite hotel is owned by Jubilee Hotels Inc. and managed by Inn Serve Corp.
“We continue to see strong demand in the extended stay hotel segment and feel this property helps to fill a need in the East Bay area,” said Chuck Cuff, general manager. “Whether traveling for business, for leisure, or with the entire family, at Homewood Suites, guests are made to feel at home with standard amenities such as fully equipped kitchens, complimentary, high-speed wireless Internet access, and separate living and sleeping areas.”
Homewood Suites by Hilton Mobile East Bay / Daphne offers studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites. Additional guest amenities include a daily complimentary Suite Start hot breakfast in the hotel’s hospitality center—the “Lodge”—a Welcome Home reception featuring a complimentary light meal and beverages Monday-Thursday evenings, an executive business center, and a 24-hour on-site pantry. The Homewood Suites by Hilton Mobile East Bay / Daphne also offers a swimming pool, putting green and nearly 1,700 square feet of meeting space, which is dividable into two rooms.
Located at 29474 North Main Street, the hotel is adjacent to the New Spanish Fort Town Center, home of the new Bass Pro Outdoor World, and is close to Eastern Shore Shopping Center and the Jubilee Shopping Center. Major nearby businesses include ThyssenKrupp Steel, Standard Furniture, ST Mobile Aerospace, Austal USA, and Atlantic Marine. Annual events in the Mobile area include the Jubilee Festival (Sept.), Bay Fest (Oct.) and the Arts & Crafts Festival (March), and attractions such as the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park, Bellingrath Gardens and Home, and Gulf Coast Explorium Science Center & IMAX Theater are all within a short drive.
General Manager Chuck Cuff brings to the hotel more than 30 years in the hotel industry, 18 of which have been in the Mobile area. He served five terms as the President of the Mobile Area Hotel/Motel Association, is past president of the Historic Mobile Preservation Society, and is a board member of the Mobile Visitor and Convention Bureau and the America’s Junior Miss.
Assisting with sales is Director of Sales Sandy Caruso. She brings more than 20 years of hospitality experience in the Mobile area, most recently as sales director with ARAMARK at the Mobile Convention Center and Civic Center. Caruso is involved with the area Hotel Sales and Marketing Association and serves as Treasurer for the State Chapter.
Launched in 1989, the Homewood Suites by Hilton brand today has more than 240 hotels open with approximately 140 in the development pipeline.
