Agriculture Secretary Dennis Wolff will announce the winner of the PA Preferred Best Chef of Pennsylvania Eastern Region contest immediately following the final competition to be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, in the Farmerama Theater at the Great Allentown Fair.
At 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27, eight local chefs from the area\'s top restaurants will participate in a competition similar to the Food Network\'s \"Iron Chef.\" At 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, four chefs advancing from Wednesday\'s competition will compete in the semi-final competition. Two winners from the semi-finals will go head-to-head in the final competition at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 28.
