Hilton Hotels Corporation (HHC) announced today that it has accredited Travelweb, a wholly owned subsidiary of priceline.com Incorporated (NASDAQ: PCLN) as a distributor of online merchant room inventory for participating Hilton Family hotels.
Travelweb is now part of a growing roster of HHC-accredited online third-party booking channels that includes: Expedia.com, Hotels.com, Orbitz.com, Lodging.com, Cheaptickets.com and Priceline.com. The HHC Distribution Standard and Online Accreditation Process that was implemented in June 2005 requires participating Hilton Family hotels to work solely with HHC-accredited distributors when offering inventory.

The accreditation of Travelweb supports the Hilton Family strategy of building relationships with online third-party distributors that offer better protection for Hilton customers and brands, and the addition of Travelweb demonstrates the company's continued commitment to providing its hotel owners with the opportunity to merchandise their inventory under the best possible participation terms while simultaneously strengthening overall brand integrity.
