Envisioned as the ideal environment for meeting and incentive groups, wedding parties and family reunions, The Retreat offers an intimate opportunity to bond in a conducive and discreet environment that is categorised into three distinct spaces, the Han, Tang and Qing Villa Complexes.
Located at the serene Luhuitou Bay on the southern coast of Hainan Island, Banyan Tree Sanya opened in April 2008 with 61 stunning pool villas. It is the newest property in the Banyan Tree Group portfolio, and one of its most ambitious. A world-class tropical paradise, Hainan welcomed over 18 million visitors in 2007, who chose the island for its temperate climate, famous beaches, widespread conference facilities and easy access within Asia.
Exceptional Value at The Retreat
The Retreat, Banyan Tree Sanya offers exceptional value to meeting organisers, offering prices that are competitive to booking meeting spaces in a regular hotel. Each Villa Complex offers its own unique set of characteristics, such as meeting facilities, spa treatment room, private steam and sauna, full banquet facilities and an outdoor pool with jet-pool.
Unveiled in November, the Han and Tang Villa Complex is available at a value package of RMB 12,000 ++ which includes 10 Deluxe Rooms and use of all villa facilities. The Qing Villa Complex package is available at RMB 8,000 ++ and includes nine Deluxe Rooms. Catering for all needs and sizes, the Han and Tang Villa Complex also offer Master Suites at a nominal additional cost.
With the objective of making each meeting or event at The Retreat unique, Banyan Tree Sanya engages guests through going the extra mile, with a choice of three perks from eight optional complimentary services including shoulder massages during coffee breaks, group photography and keepsake mementos, daily group breakfast set up within the villa complex, unlimited tea, coffee and fruits, one-hour free flow of soft drinks at Tian Ya Hai Jiao Bar and shuttle services to nearby Lu Hui Tou Golf Course.
Imbuing a sense of place, The Retreat arranges themed dinners such as Fisherman’s Night, reflecting the original occupation of early Hainanese, and organises cultural entertainment for a deeper appreciation of local arts including the Chinese lion dance, delightful art of ‘face changing’, and Chinese acrobatics and gong fu. In addition, bands, magicians and fireworks are available to make each event more vibrant.
The events butler will assist to organise team building activities in the villa complex, ensuring that participants are given total privacy from other guests in the main resort. In addition to having all services at one location, ensuring safety, security, ease of operations and logistics, the event butler is on hand at all times to attend to urgent requests.
