Grand Park Xian is offering a new 'Romantic Tang Cultural Experience' with guided tours to the local historical and cultural attractions of China’s ancient Silk Road capital famed for the world famous Terracotta Warriors and historic capital of the Tang Dynasty.
Available from January 1 to March 31, the three day / two night experience package is designed for two, priced at RMB 1,998 per person including return airport transfer, buffet breakfast each morning and a unique Empress Banquet gourmet dinner. On arrival, couples will receive a welcome drink. This package also features a visit to the Terracotta Warriors along with many other fascinating attractions in Xian.
One of the highlights is Hua Qing Hot Springs, located at the foot of the Lishan Mountain, dating back 6,000 years, it is ranked among the top one hundred gardens in China. This attraction is also a National Cultural Relic Protection Unit and a National Key Scenic Area.
At Hua Qing Hot Spring, travellers will not only enjoy the scenery, but be able to imagine being back in the days of the Tang Dynasty and the lurid romance stories of the royal court between concubine Yang Yu Huan and Emperor Xuan Zong. Here travellers can pamper themselves in the imitation Guifei Pool with an even temperature of 43 degrees. The ever-flowing water of the hot spring contains minerals and organic materials that have therapeutic effects on the skin.
Also in the itinerary is the world famous Big Goose Pagoda, an ancient Buddhist shrine dating back to the year 652 and the reign of Tang Dynasty Emperor Gaozong, housing treasures collected from India by Buddhist monk Xuan Zang who became the renowned character of the ancient novel of Pilgrimage to the West. It is recognized as a National Key Cultural Relic Preserve.
Completing the experience is an optional gourmet dinner at the Tang Dynasty Theatre Restaurant, where guests can enjoy a luxurious banquet while savouring the rich culture of China’s ancient capital of Xian through songs and dance. This world-class theatre restaurant seats up to 650 diners in a 2,000 square metre auditorium. The theatre celebrates ‘China's natural museum of history’ famed for the Terracotta Warriors, ancient tombs of emperors, thousands of ruins and mausoleums, and more than 120,000 art and architectural treasures.
The ‘Romantic Tang Cultural Experience' also includes a refined Chinese calligraphy class in the Hotel hosted by a local calligraphist. Couples are able to learn the techniques of using Chinese ink and brush to do Chinese writing.
