The new 87-room Country Inn & Suites By Carlson in Lakeland, Fla. today announced it is open for business at 4500 Lakeland Park Drive.
"We're very excited to bring the Country Inns & Suites By Carlson concept to this region," said Steve Mogck, executive vice president and brand leader for Country Inns & Suites By Carlson. "All employees will participate in the Country Inns & Suites 'Be Our Guest' service training program, to ensure consistent delivery of quality customer service at our hotels."

Testasecca, general manager of the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson in Lakeland. The owner of the hotel is Sheldon Management Inc.
The hotel features a unique covered indoor/outdoor pool and fitness center. Other amenities include a complimentary hot continental breakfast and a meeting room with audio-visual capabilities to accommodate up to 60 people. The hotel offers a variety of guest room styles including standard rooms, King or Double Queen suites and Whirlpool suites. All rooms feature complimentary high-speed Internet access, hair dryer, 37" flat screen television, microwave and refrigerator.
In addition, all rooms include their own Web-based computer so guests can enjoy free Internet browsing from the comfort of their room. There is also a computer available in the Business Center.
Conveniently located in central Florida, this Country Inn & Suites property is approximately 12 miles from the Lakeland Airport and 41 miles from Tampa International Airport. The hotel is close to a variety of attractions and special events in the area, including Lakeland mall (5 minutes); Hard Rock Casino (15 minutes); Florida State Fairgrounds (15 minutes); Ford Amphitheater (15 minutes); Busch Gardens & Adventure Island (25 minutes); and Orlando Theme Parks (35 minutes).
The new Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Lakeland is also a preferred hotel of Tiger Town, the Detroit Tigers Spring training facility, located only 15 minutes from the hotel.
