WHAT: Capella Telluride, the premier U.S. retreat for Capella Hotels and Resorts, is pleased to welcome its first guests today. Telluride's snow-packed terrain is a favorite this season, rated the number two ski resort in North America by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler. And ski enthusiasts can satisfy their wanderlust thanks to Capella Telluride's special introductory winter rate of $295.

ABOUT: Located in the heart of Mountain Village, every detail of Capella Telluride's boutique setting has been designed for the most discerning traveler. Guests enjoy coveted ski-in/ski-out access to famed Telluride Ski Resort, and are pampered by the complimentary services of the Nordic Lounge, where ski valet pre-warm boots, wax skis and offer warm beverages while they store guests' equipment. Personal Assistants are a core element of the Capella Telluride experience, each skilled in the fine art of preferential service, ensuring every moment of a visit is custom-crafted, whether guests desire a first-run on untouched ski trails or a backcountry dogsled tour with an expert guide. To gear up for the slopes, Capella's Fitness Center features the latest equipment. And for tired muscles, The Spa at Capella and its pool area - opening March 15, 2009 - will be a welcomed respite, offering a unique approach to mountain wellness.
