Ted Teng, president and chief executive officer of The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. has announced the appointments of Bernard Agache and Philip Ho to the newly-created position of senior vice president of membership, and vice president of Asia Pacific respectively. Reporting directly to Mr. Teng, both roles play an integral part in the company�s business plan, which focuses on strengthening the company�s core business through membership management and increased revenue generation to member hotels.

Based in the company�s New York headquarters, Mr. Agache will be responsible for overseeing the organization�s overall strategic direction and operations of membership. The functions reporting to Mr. Agache are development, quality compliance, contract administration, activities related to the services and provider network, as well as membership services which will continue to be led by senior vice president Joe Opp. Mr. Agache is also charged with fostering collaborative and fruitful relationships with Leading Hotels� hoteliers in order to effectively deliver top-line results to, and facilitate communications with them.

Bringing 30 years of experience to his post, Mr. Agache has managed multinational teams at some of the most prominent hotels and resorts around the world. Formerly a senior executive at Westin Hotels & Resorts, Mr. Agache boasts a record of extraordinary operating achievements, recognized for having managed the �Most Innovative� and the �Most Profitable� business operations within the brand. Most recently, Mr. Agache was senior vice president of operations for Westmont Hospitality in Toronto where he worked extensively with various global brands and independent hotels in an owner/operator environment, providing skilled management and an owner�s perspective to third-party managed properties.
Holding dual French and Canadian citizenships, Mr. Agache is fluent in four languages and is a graduate of the Hotel Management School in Toulouse, France.
Stationed in Singapore, Phil Ho will be responsible for all aspects of Leading Hotels� business production and profitability in the Asia Pacific region, including Tokyo, Sydney, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Mumbai. Hired for his acute ability to rethink and reinvent business models in dynamic market conditions, Mr. Ho joins The Leading Hotels of the World from his most recent role as general manager for ZUJI, the region�s top online travel retailer and a part of Sabre Holdings. During his tenure, he succeeded in transforming the start-up business to be one of the most successful markets within ZUJI. As a results-oriented stimulator of sales, revenue, and profits, Mr. Ho�s strong sense of urgency, cross-cultural leadership skills, and acumen in distribution systems and online sales, will enable him to effectively address and engage customers in the Asia Pacific region, while driving revenue to Leading Hotels� members.

Mr. Ho began his career at Singapore Airlines in distribution and revenue management and later joined Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where he left a position as vice president, sales and marketing, Asia Pacific to pioneer ZUJI as director of marketing. A native of Singapore, Mr. Ho is bi-lingual in English and Chinese. He holds a bachelor of science degree from the National University of Singapore and currently serves as a member of the France Tourism Office�s International Advisory Board.
