Smith Travel Research (STR), the recognized leader in global hotel benchmarking, has renewed its partnership with Cornell's Center for Hospitality Research. Mark Lomanno, president of STR, will continue as a member of the center's advisory board.

"STR is excited to continue the relationship with the center. We look forward to making STR data accessible to students and the research community at large," Lomanno said. "In these times of economic uncertainty the impact of actionable information increases, and the center, with the help of STR data, is at the forefront of producing these valuable insights. Through our media partner HotelNewsNow (www.hotelnewsnow.com) we will continue to publish those findings and high level STR data for free to ensure that everyone in the hotel global hotel community can benefit."

As a center partner, STR has a seat at all center roundtables, which allow partners' senior-level executives the opportunity to meet and interact with university researchers. "STR's willingness to share its high-level data has been a tremendous asset to the center and to Cornell's faculty," said David Sherwyn, academic director of the center. "STR and its news website HotelNewsNow offer unmatched insights and help to promote the center and our research. We are delighted that STR is renewing their partnership with the Center for Hospitality Research."
