Cendant Hotel Group today announced that Fairfield Resorts®, the largest vacation ownership company in the world with more than 500,000 members, has joined the TripRewards® loyalty program to provide expanded earning and redemption options to Fairfield's vacation owners.
The TripRewards program features more than 6,000 hotels, points-earning opportunities with more than 45 earning participants and more than 250 point-redemption options. It is the world's largest hotel loyalty program, based on the number of participating hotels. Approximately 50,000 Fairfield owners have already been automatically enrolled as TripRewards members.
"TripRewards is a simple, fun way to earn valuable rewards while continuing to enjoy the unique benefits of Fairfield ownership," said Jill Noblett, Cendant Hotel Group vice president of loyalty and direct marketing.
The program's more than 5 million members may elect to earn TripRewards points, airline miles or rail points for stays at Super 8®, Days Inn®, Ramada®, Howard Johnson®, Travelodge®, Knights Inn®, Wingate Inn® or AmeriHost Inn® hotels. Its "open earn" structure allows members faster access to point earning by staying in Cendant-franchised hotels, renting Avis® and Budget® rental cars and purchasing everyday products and services from earning partners.
Likewise, TripRewards members can redeem their points for either hotel stays -- with no blackout dates -- or rewards including airline tickets, resort vacations, electronics, sporting goods, movie and theme park tickets and gift certificates. A hassle-free online system allows members to check their point balance and redeem for rewards 24 hours a day.
