...New Non-Gaming Hotel, Opening At CityCenter In Fall 2009, Becomes the 9th ALHI Las Vegas Member

Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) has expanded its Las Vegas offerings with the addition of its newest member, Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas, the first Mandarin Oriental Hotel in ALHI’s prestigious worldwide collection. Located at the stunning entrance of CityCenter, the magnificent new urban resort destination in the heart of the Vegas Strip, this sophisticated 47-story, non-gaming hotel is in the final construction phase, with a scheduled opening in the Fall of 2009. ALHI will now provide National Sales Services for the new hotel to the meetings, incentive/recognition travel, and conventions marketplaces through its extensive sales network.

“Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas is a new, unique and exceptional meetings and incentive option in Las Vegas for groups,” said David Gabri, president and CEO of ALHI. “It is in a perfect location, with world-established service standards, and with meeting spaces designed specifically to serve the upper-tier sectors. This Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas becomes a wonderful new option for smaller self-contained programs and discerning segments from larger groups that will use our other Las Vegas hotels and resorts and still need more rooms for their programs.”

Upon its opening in the Fall of 2009, the elegant Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas will offer 392 luxuriously appointed guest rooms and suites, and 227 residences. Every artfully-decorated room will have exceptional technological enhancements, including a control panel allowing guests to manage the lighting, drapery, temperature and TV, all from one remote. The hotel’s 12,360 square feet of meeting space will include an impressive 7,650-square-foot ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows and glittering city views.

Hotel offerings at Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas will include a Meetings Concierge dedicated to every event to ensure a seamless experience, a two-level spa, two pools, and a restaurant on the 23rd floor that will be the first U.S. restaurant of Michelin-rated celebrity chef Pierre Gagnaire. The free-standing hotel is located directly on the Las Vegas Strip, adjacent to the new Crystals Retail District, the legendary Bellagio, and the new ARIA, which provide incremental dining, world-class shopping, and legendary nearby gaming.

Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas now joins ALHI’s impressive portfolio in Las Vegas, which includes the ARIA Resort & Casino and Vdara – also at CityCenter, as well as the renowned Bellagio, Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, MGM Grand, The Mirage, The Signature at MGM Grand, and THEhotel at Mandalay Bay. ALHI’s National Sales team will provide localized regional sales service and guide planners on their specific objectives by matching appropriate solutions in Las Vegas which may best fit their program and parameters.

With a diverse luxury portfolio of over 90,000 rooms and suites and over 9 million square feet of meeting space worldwide, ALHI serves as a dedicated dues-based National Sales Organization for its outstanding combined membership of more than 125 Four- and Five-Diamond/Star quality hotels and resorts worldwide, all focused on serving meeting, event & incentive/recognition (ME&I) programs. Just one call to ALHI enables executives, meeting professionals, and incentive specialists to gain reliable experienced national sales professionals for meetings and programs requiring from 10 to more than 5,000 rooms. There is no cost to planners’ organizations to utilize the national sales services of ALHI, as its members’ dues fund the national sales organization.

ALHI member properties include extraordinary meeting and incentive resorts, incomparable city hotels, exclusive smaller hotels, golf resorts, historic and landmark properties, island destinations, resorts with spas, properties in international destinations, and hotels and resorts with gaming and entertainment, like those in Las Vegas.
