Marco Polo Hotels announced the management of a new property in Fujian Province of China – The Marco Polo Jinjiang, the city’s first international hotel. A signing ceremony was held on August 13 in Hong Kong and attended by the senior management of Marco Polo Hotels and Jinjiang Hongfu Hotel Company Limited, the owning company of the hotel.
“We are pleased to be opening Marco Polo’s 5th hotel in China with the addition of the Marco Polo Jinjiang, which will further strengthen our presence in China as it is the first international hotel to open in the city. The “Marco Polo” brand will create major impact in the market and greater awareness expanding on the long success of the Marco Polo Xiamen in the Fujian province, “said Steve Kleinschmidt, President of Marco Polo Hotels.
“We are delighted to be entering into partnership with Marco Polo Hotels to operate this new hotel in the city of Jinjiang. The strength of the Marco Polo brand, its reputation for service excellence and the potential business opportunities in Jinjiang are the formula of successful in this partnership,” said Mr So Chian Su of Jinjiang Hongfu Hotel Company Limited.

As an Asia-based hotel operator owned by The Wharf (Holdings) Ltd., a prestigious Hong Kong public company, Marco Polo Hotels has the hands-on experience and reputation for quality hotels that will be important to the long-term success of The Marco Polo Jinjiang,” said Mr Liao Jin Dui of Jinjiang Hongfu Hotel Company Limited.
The Marco Polo Jinjiang will provide 290 rooms and suites including Marco Polo’s signature Continental Club Floor providing the finest in international service. The dining options are Café Marco, the Lobby Lounge, a Chinese restaurant and a Japanese restaurant. The conference and banquet facilities will include the Marco Polo Ballroom, the Junior Ballroom and seven Function Rooms. A recreation area features an outdoor swimming pool, health spa and gymnasium.
