Pan Pacific Hotels Group has announced the appointment of Lloyd Daser as Area Vice President, Malaysia and General Manager of Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur.

In addition to operations at Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur, Lloyd will be responsible for overseeing the performance of Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s three other Malaysian properties - Pan Pacific Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Parkroyal Penang and the upcoming Parkroyal Serviced Suites Kuala Lumpur, opening in 2010.

A long-time and cherished manager with Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts, Lloyd has served successful terms at its various hotels around the world, including Pan Pacific Vancouver and Pan Pacific Singapore since 1985. In addition, he is no stranger to the city of Kuala Lumpur, having played an important part in the pre-opening and subsequently becoming the first General Manager of Pan Pacific Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Lloyd holds a Bachelors Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from Washington State University.

Lloyd’s newest appointment at Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur is the second cross brand movement which reflects in part the Group’s commitment to strategic human capital management and development and the fostering of best practices across the Pan Pacific and Parkroyal brands.

“We value greatly Lloyd’s long-standing commitment and contributions to Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts,” said Mr A. Patrick Imbardelli, President and CEO, Pan Pacific Hotels Group. “His management capabilities and leadership will be invaluable

experience in building and developing people, positive synergies, and fostering best practices between the two brands, and among our four properties in Malaysia.”

“Having spent eight years in Malaysia in the 1990s I am excited to return to my second home,” said Lloyd Daser. “Parkroyal and Pan Pacific Hotels Group are entering an exciting phase of their development and I look forward to being part of the new business strategy and contributing to the continued growth of our brands, associates and hotels in Malaysia.”
