A new landmark is set to open in mid-2010 on Macau’s waterfront, representing the next era in elegant and sophisticated hotel accommodation. The new, luxurious Mandarin Oriental, Macau blends stylish, chic modernity with subtle inspirations from the territory’s European heritage, to create a premier property on the Macau Peninsula.

As part of the prestigious mixed-use complex, One Central, and with a prime location in the heart of Macau’s entertainment and high-end retail centre, Mandarin Oriental, Macau is just a few minutes walk from the historic heart of town. The hotel will boast panoramic views of Taipa Island, west Nam Van Lake, Macau Tower and the hills of the South China coastline.

The calm surrounds of the property’s 213 elegant rooms and suites will combine superb comfort with a wide range of state-of-the art technology.

The hotel will also offer a true epicurean experience with a range of stylish, contemporary venues, including a signature all-day dining restaurant, a chic concept bar, relaxing lobby lounge and Mandarin Oriental Cake Shop. All venues take full advantage of impressive waterfront views through towering glass walls.

The Group’s award-winning spa concept will be a significant component of the hotel, offering holistic rejuvenation and relaxation in a tranquil, meditative setting. The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Macau will provide a comprehensive range of wellness, beauty and massage programmes including some of Mandarin Oriental’s exclusive holistic signature treatments. The overall spa and health facilities will also encompass a state-of-the-art Fitness Centre and an outdoor swimming pool.

As the only non-gaming, five-star hotel on the Macau Peninsula, Mandarin Oriental, Macau will provide a convenient and exclusive venue for meetings and conferences. A 320-square-metre ballroom, two meeting rooms and one board room will feature cutting edge communications technology with large sea-view windows and an elegant pre-function area.

Macau is fast becoming one of the most dynamic centres for entertainment, fine cuisine and luxury shopping in Asia. With the Group’s renowned tradition of personalised service and exclusivity, Mandarin Oriental, Macau will provide the perfect base for both leisure and business travellers to experience this vibrant destination.
