Snively to promote hotel’s unique cultural experience
Paul Horner, general manager of Keauhou Beach Resort, is proud to announce the appointment of Deaner Snively as sales manager - culture and education. In this newly created position, Snively will be responsible for promoting, coordinating and marketing the hotel’s unique educational and cultural programs, providing direction in order to optimize sales and revenue.
Mr. Snively comes to Outrigger from sales positions with Apple Vacations and Pleasant Holidays where he focused on travel agencies and consortia partners in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. He has also done independent projects for the Big Island Visitors Bureau’s various sales missions to Europe and Oceania.
Prior to that, Snively spent 17-years in San Francisco working as a sales representative then later became the sales manager for Aloha Airlines focusing on the Americas/Europe region. He also played a prominent role in opening the Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau’s regional office in San Francisco.
Mr. Snively is an active member of the community and continues to serve on two distinguished travel industry organizations; SKAL – San Francisco, a professional organization of tourism leaders around the world, promoting global tourism and friendship, and Norcal Hawaii Ohana.
“Having been born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii, I have the utmost confidence that Deaner will draw from his cultural roots and experiences to ensure the program’s success,” said Paul Horner. “We feel very fortunate to have someone with his field expertise and professional background join our team,” he added.
