Crestline Hotels & Resorts, Inc. today announced the appointment of John R. Hill as director of sales and marketing for the Emory Conference Center Hotel and Emory Inn in Atlanta, GA. The Emory Conference Center Hotel and the Emory Inn are located adjacent to the Emory University campus. Together they include 305 guestrooms; the Emory Conference Center Hotel is also an IACC meeting facility with over 23,000 square feet of meeting space. Designed under the influence of Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture, the Emory Conference Center Hotel is Atlanta's only conference center offering both the convenience of an in-town location with the relaxing setting of an out-of-town retreat.

Mr. Hill joins the hotels from Marriott International where he last served as the director of sales and marketing for the JW Marriott New Orleans. During his seventeen year tenure with Marriott International, Mr. Hill held several management positions including area director of sales and marketing in Kansas City.

"John's extensive knowledge of the group meeting market, and his wide and varied experiences in the hospitality industry, insures that he will be a tremendous asset to the team at the Emory Conference Center and the Emory Inn," said Vicki Denfeld, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Crestline Hotels & Resorts. "The Emory Conference Center Hotel enjoys an excellent reputation for its customer service and innovative catering and meetings services. We know that John will help enhance that reputation," added Denfeld.

Mr. Hill holds a B.S. in Communications and Marketing from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He is a member of the National Travel Association, the Mid-American Business Travel Association and Meeting Professionals International. He has also served as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the Overland Park Convention and Visitors Bureau in Overland Park, Kansas. He can be reached at jhill@ecch.emory.edu.

The Emory Conference Center Hotel
Opened in 1995, The Emory Conference Center Hotel is recognized as one of the leading conference center facilities in the country. Inspired by the philosophy of Frank Lloyd Wright to marry open architecture with natural surroundings, the Emory Conference Center Hotel is distinguished by its Wright influenced architecture and unique setting adjacent to Emory University's Hahn Woods. With 198 guestrooms, 24 meeting rooms, three restaurants and spa, the Conference Center offers Southern hospitality and a one-of-a-kind experience for business and leisure travelers. Its broad variety of meeting and catering venues include 23,000 square feet of IACC certified meeting space. The Emory Conference Center Hotel is convenient to downtown Atlanta and Hartsfield Jackson International Airport.

The Emory Inn is a charming 107 room, full service southern-style Inn adjacent to the Emory Conference Center Hotel. The Inn surrounds a beautiful garden courtyard and is home to the popular Le Giverny Bistro whose French country motif also inspires a bed-and-breakfast feel to the Inn. Covered walkways offer access to the Emory Conference Center Hotel's amenities and restaurants.
