Preferred Hotel Group™ will once again attend ILTM (International Luxury Travel Market) in Cannes, 6 – 9 December 2010 at Booth M190 – the world’s premier luxury travel event – re-emphasizing the company’s global commitment to the industry and its members. Newly appointed President, Lindsey Ueberroth will be on hand to discuss global growth, strategic new partnerships, and meet with industry professionals, as well as members of the media.
Global Growth
During 2010, Preferred Hotel Group™ branched out into previously untapped markets expanding the company’s global reach to over 70 countries. New locations added to the growing portfolio include Mongolia and Vietnam, alongside Tunisia, Rwanda and Angola. Additionally, several new strategic partnerships were announced including Divan Hotel Group, Sol Meliá, and the exclusive Trump Hotel Collection. The addition of these significant new members has brought total membership to more than 800 independent hotels and resorts across Preferred Hotel Group’s five distinctive brands: Preferred Hotels® & Resorts, Preferred Boutique™, Summit Hotels & Resorts™, Sterling Hotels, and Historic Hotels of America®.
Divan Hotel Group
All eight of Divan Hotel Group’s hotels have been added to Preferred Hotel Group and divided equally across four of the five brands: Preferred Hotels & Resorts (Divan Istanbul and Divan Istanbul Asia), Preferred Boutique (Divan Bodrum and Divan Ankara Çukurhan), Summit Hotels & Resorts (Divan Ankara, and Divan Antalya) and Sterling Hotels (Divan Istanbul City, and Divan Çorlu). This new strategic partnership is a milestone in the region as it adds the first Turkish chain hotel group to Preferred Hotel Group, and reinforces Divan’s new strategic positioning within the hospitality industry.
Sol Meliá
A significantly important partnership with the Spain-based Sol Meliá, was announced this Fall, bringing a total of eleven premier properties into the Preferred Hotels & Resorts family. These notable new affiliations will include two of the Meliá branded hotels, three of the hotel group’s stylish ME branded properties, and six of the contemporary and luxurious Gran Meliá hotels which range in location from Cancun, Mexico; Coco Beach, Puerto Rico; and six distinct resort and city destinations in Spain.
Trump Hotel Collection
Trump Hotel Collection’s portfolio of seven luxury properties joins Preferred Hotels & Resorts from December 9, 2010 onwards under private label GDS code TW. The new partnership encompasses Trump Hotel Collection’s two hotels in New York City (Central Park and SoHo), one each in Chicago, Las Vegas and Honolulu (Waikiki) and new hotels in Panama and Toronto set to open in early 2011.
