The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, one of Asia’s most luxurious, stylish and contemporary hotels, located in the heart of the city’s Central District, is delighted to announce the appointment of Sherona Lau as Director of Sales & Marketing.

Prior to joining The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, Sherona served as Director of Sales and Marketing for The Ritz-Carlton Sanya, where she successfully opened the resort in Mainland China. Starting her career as a management trainee at the Yinhe Dynasty Inter-Continental Hotel in China, and discovering her passion for the industry, Sherona then joined The Peninsula Hotels, where she spent eight years in various positions in Sales and Marketing at the regional office and The Peninsula Bangkok. Committed and dedicated to her profession, Sherona has worked in North America, Europe, and Asia, where she developed strong international sales and marketing skills, as well as hands-on experience in the resort, luxury, and business segments.

A native of Hong Kong, Sherona holds an Associate Degree from Domino Carlton Tivoli University Centre in Switzerland, and earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Florida International University. Additionally, she has completed a Group Professional Development Program in Cornell University. To express her passion for hospitality and keen interest in sharing her knowledge, while working in Sanya, Sherona acted as a Guest Lecturer for the Hotel Management programme at Hainan University. She also took up golf as a favourite pastime, and has since fallen in love with the sport.

Commenting on the appointment, Anthony Costa, General Manager of The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, states, “We are very excited to welcome Sherona to the team. We all look forward to drawing on her extensive experience in the industry, her infectious enthusiasm, and her strong relationship with business partners to ensure the ongoing success of our luxury property.”
