Suzhou’s only art and design hotel unveils a collection of Art Experience Packages for guests in collaboration with the Suzhou Art & Design Technology Institute
Hotel Soul, the only boutique art hotel in the historic garden city of Suzhou, is extending its artistic touch to offer guests unique creative insights and hands-on experiences during their stay. In addition to showcasing cutting-edge contemporary art installations throughout the deluxe hotel, Hotel Soul has launched a collection of Art Experience Packages in collaboration with Suzhou’s leading art academy, enabling guests to create their own Suzhou masterpieces.
Hotel Soul’s specialized Art Experience Packages at the Suzhou Art & Design Technology Institute, available every weekend from April 1 to June 30, offer guests a privileged insight into traditional Oriental arts and crafts. Courses range from traditional Suzhou embroidery, Chinese brush and watercolor painting and classic calligraphy, to jewelry making and glazing ceramics. Guests can even try molding clay on a pottery wheel like the romantic scene between Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze in the movie Ghost. Guests can take home all these unique handmade souvenirs of their Suzhou art experience.
The Hotel Soul Art Experience lessons include a background to each art form, preparing the materials and tools, practicing different techniques and an appreciation tour of celebrated works. The lessons also offer opportunities to interact with rising young stars of the contemporary Chinese art world.
The Hotel Soul Art Experience Package is RMB1298 net, including one nights’ stay for two people (RMB998 net for single occupancy) in a Premier Twin Room, breakfast for two at signature French restaurant Brasserie 101, and a range of benefits across the hotel’s facilities and organized trips. Return transportation and the full art experience at Suzhou Art & Design Technology Institute are also included.
