John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts has completed an $8 million dollar renovation of its award-winning Embassy Suites Kansas City – International Airport. The multi-year renovation, executed in three phases, modernized the hotel’s 237 guest suites and bathrooms, redesigned the public space and restaurant, and upgraded 16,500 square feet of meeting and convention space.
The Embassy Suites Kansas City – International Airport is the only full service suite product in the Kansas City International Airport market. The combination of the spacious two-bay suite with the large common space in the atrium and the 16,500 square feet of multifunctional meeting space uniquely positions this hotel to service transient and group business.
“Our renovated guest suites and meeting space are among the largest in the Kansas City International Airport area, and the impact of the investment we made to upgrade our public space and guestroom technology now positions us as the most modern property in the airport market,” said Mike Klingensmith, Embassy Suites Kansas City – International Airport General Manager. “Our contemporary two-bay guest suites now feature completely updated bathrooms and redesigned in-room work areas, as well as a 37-inch flat screen TV equipped with cable/satellite, in-room pay-per-view movies and in-room check-out. Also our guests will find high-speed wireless Internet access throughout the hotel.”
The renovation refreshed the hotel’s signature atrium, turning it into a focal point for guests to socialize, relax and stay connected. The lobby, pool, business and fitness centers have also been fully renovated, including the addition of state-of-the-art Precor® Fitness exercise equipment.
The Embassy Suites Kansas City – International Airport is conveniently located less than five minutes from the Kansas City International Airport and close to a wide range of Kansas City’s largest corporations including Citibank, Delaval, General Motors at Fairfax, Ford Motor at Claycomo, and Toyota.
