In a landmark partnership, China’s largest residential real estate developer, China Vanke Company Limited, has joined with Solís Hotels & Resorts, headed by one of the world’s leading luxury hoteliers, Horst Schulze, to introduce the first Solís Hotels & Resorts property to the People’s Republic of China.

Today, plans were announced for Solís Vanke Center, Shenzhen, China, a luxury 200-room hotel featuring an international conference center. The project will be completed in two phases, with the conference center opening end of June 2011, followed by the hotel opening during the second quarter of 2012. Chairman and CEO of Solís Hotels & Resorts, Mr. Schulze is recognized throughout the hospitality industry for establishing world-renowned service quality standards that will be the hallmark of Solís Vanke Center.

As a flagship hotel for the group, Solís Vanke Center will make its debut in China with a fittingly all-star team. Designed by Steven Holl Architects, the award-winning floating architecture that has gained Vanke Center international fame as the world’s first horizontal skyscraper will provide a dramatic backdrop for the unmistakable style of interior designer Jaya Ibrahim. Ibrahim has received world-wide acclaim for his distinctive, chic interiors which have graced upscale hotels and private homes from Jakarta to Miami.

The most significant development in Dameisha and the city of Shenzhen, Vanke Center is located in Yantian, a popular seashore resort area, and will connect guests to lush mountains, pristine sand and emerald green waters. It offers proximity to the famous 1,800-meter long Dameisha Beach, theme parks, golf courses, business and shopping centers, as well as easy access to the Hong Kong borders and Shenzhen International Airport.

Solís Vanke Center will match its premier location with a full slate of five-star amenities and unparalleled levels of personal service to create an experience in perfect harmony with the surroundings.

Directly connected to the hotel, the 8,000sqm Conference and Exhibition Center offers a Grand Ballroom of 1,100 square-meters, an Auditorium seating 469, two Video Conferencing Rooms and seven Meeting and Board Rooms, all complemented with the latest in audio, visual and communications technologies.

A monument to green architecture, Vanke Center unites into one vision the headquarters for China Vanke Co. Ltd., additional office spaces, and the Solís Vanke Center Hotel and Conference Center in China’s first property to receive the platinum LEED certification.
