The Gateway Hotel Airport Garden Colombo is the first international hotel of the Gateway brand from the Taj Group, South Asia's largest hospitality group.
Every touch point across the customer's journey has been carefully thought of in order to present guests with a relaxed, refreshing and contemporary hotel experience. Special initiatives have been introduced to deliver the brand promise - a 24/7 approach to all services; the offering of active foods that are a combination of low glycemic index foods and super foods packed with antioxidants and phytochemicals for the health conscious guests; eat in - a refreshed in room dining menu; yoga mats in each room; wake up - the buffet breakfast with a range of healthy and indulge options; and explore - packages that let the guest explore the destination where the hotel is located.
The guest experience commences on arrival at the hotel, perfectly located in the midst of a 38-acre coconut plantation, bordering the famous Negombo lagoon. Skirted by verdure and vegetation, the lagoon is a picture of peace and home to a variety of water birds, offering picturesque views from the rooms. As part of the rebranding exercise, the hotel has undergone uplift. A large number of guest rooms have been refurbished. The rooms have laminated timber flooring in place of carpets, sleek furniture, LCD televisions and stylish design elements.
