Preferred Boutique, the elite collection of intimate hotels and resorts launched in 2005 by Preferred Hotel Group, is pleased to announce its newest and first member in Shanghai, China – Hotel Pravo.

Located on the fast-growing and historic North Bund, Hotel Pravo opens this month with an intimate 86 suites. The hotel is the creation of Shanghai's well-known visionary Steven Wang, CEO of the hotel and the Brilliant & Consulting Group. With an Art Deco façade reminiscent of the early 20th century, the interior is a combination of artistic styles with distinctive curvatures and atmospheric lighting. The hotel also showcases two unique installation artworks by Chinese artist Xia Xiaowan – Tao Hua Yuan and Gao Shan Liu Shui, both based on Chinese traditional water and mountain paintings.

Starting from a spacious 48 sq m, most suites have a separate partition between the lounge and bedroom, ensuring independent spaces for privacy. Rooms are equipped with complimentary wireless Internet access, one-stop guest service button, and coffee machine. The hotel offers complimentary local calls, an IT centre with Apple computers for guest use, and a gymnasium. Four restaurants and bars include Yu Yuan Chinese Restaurant, which offers traditional Northern Chinese cuisines led by Mr. Li Xiaolin, a second-generation inheritor of the culinary traditions of the Chinese Imperial Court.

"We are delighted to have the prestigious Preferred Boutique brand now in Shanghai, and Hotel Pravo is a great representation of the brand with its intimate scale and attention to personalized service," said Mark Simmons, area managing director, Asia, for Preferred Hotel Group. "The upcoming developments in the North Bund area and its proximity to the Bund itself are great selling points for the hotel."

"Hotel Pravo is proud to be the first member of Preferred Boutique in Shanghai as we share the same vision to offer guests an intimate experience," said Steven Wang, CEO of Hotel Pravo. "With Preferred Boutique's sales and marketing strength, we look forward to introducing a new and sophisticated urban boutique hotel to its global audience."
