Benchmark Hospitality International, a leading US-based hospitality management company, has named John Santangelo director of food and beverage for Eaglewood Resort & Spa, located in Itasca, Illinois, near Chicago. Charles Reese, Benchmark’s general manager for Eaglewood, made the announcement.
“I am so pleased to welcome John to Eaglewood Resort & Spa,” said Mr. Reece. “A seasoned industry veteran, he has worked with landmark properties throughout the country and brings this rich experience to our resort.”
John Santangelo comes to his new role at Eaglewood Resort & Spa with three decades of industry experience. He was most recently director of food and beverage for Pheasant Run Resort, located in St. Charles, Illinois. He has served in the same position for a leading casino brand.
Mr. Santangelo previously held the positions of executive chef, director of restaurants, and chef for major brand and independent resorts. He has a degree in Culinary Arts and Business from the American Culinary Federation, and an Advanced Culinary Arts degree from Le Cordon Blue, located in France. He resides in Shorewood, Illinois, with his family.
