Invitation-Only Affair To Benefit Hope4Heroes Veteran Assistance Non-Profit Group
Officials of Hilton San Antonio Hill Country Hotel & Spa plan to unveil their newly renovated facilities at an invitation-only grand re-opening event to be held Thursday, June 23, from 6 p.m to 9 p.m. The event will feature an international theme, with cuisine and entertainment from Italy, Spain, Asia and other exciting locations. The evening’s activities also will include a silent auction, with all proceeds benefiting Hope4Heroes, a San Antonio-based, non-profit organization dedicated to assisting veterans and their families.
Among the local dignitaries expected to attend are major general Alfred Valenzuela –US Army (retired), councilmember Ray Saldinia (district 4), Victor Luebker – chairman and ceo Hope4heroes, Geoff Hixson – president, MLB Players Alumni Association, Richard Perez – president of Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce.
“We’ve designed this grand re-opening event to showcase the many improvements and upgrades we made during the $4 million renovation that we began in 2010,” said Erika Bauchrowitz, property general manager. “We look forward to welcoming our neighbors and the local community and showing off our ‘like-new’ facility. Texas is synonymous with hospitality, and we look forward to building on that tradition.”
“The renovation refreshed and upgraded all areas of the hotel, including all guest rooms, the lobby, the restaurant and other public areas,” said Murray L. Dow II, CEO of The Dow Hotel Company, property managers. “With its completion, we are re-introducing a striking “new” hotel to our local San Antonio friends, families and business partners. What makes the re-opening even more special and meaningful is sharing the evening with Hope4Heroes.”
Located at 9800 Westover Hills Blvd. in the rugged Hill Country of Texas near San Antonio, the newly renovated property features a luxurious modern Texas ranch lifestyle, highlighted by soaring beamed ceilings, warm rich woods, a massive flagstone fireplace, cozy sofas, a 30-foot curved bar with plenty of stools and wide, bi-fold doors allowing in copious amounts of fresh Hill Country air.
