Hotel Located in the Master-Planned Community of Nordelta, Boasting Residences, Restaurants, Shops and a World-Class Golf Course

IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group), (LSE:IHG) (NYSE:IHG) (ADRs) the world’s largest hotel group by number of rooms, today announced the opening of the much anticipated InterContinental Nordelta Tigre - Buenos Aires Hotel, Residences & Spa, IHG’s ninth overall property in Argentina. The hotel is owned by Complejo Bahia, S.A. and will be managed under a long-term agreement by IHG’s Americas division.

The InterContinental Nordelta Tigre - Buenos Aires is comprised of 149 guestrooms including 20 suites. The hotel is located on the Bahia Grande in Tigre and within Nordelta, in the northern part of Buenos Aires, approximately 20 miles (33 km) from the city center.

“We are delighted to open such an innovative property of this size and magnitude in the thriving community of Nordelta,” said Alvaro Diago, COO, IHG, Latin America and Caribbean. “This is a compelling project for us, in that it will continue to strengthen our position across the region, as well as further demonstrate IHG’s commitment to expanding in new and emerging destinations."

The InterContinental Nordelta Tigre - Buenos Aires includes a spa, fitness center, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, six meeting rooms with a capacity of up to 600 people, two restaurants and a bar.

Guests at the hotel will also enjoy a convenient location on the Lago Central which offers a marina, boat slips and a direct entranceway to the Rio Lujan, which provides access to a wide range of water sports and recreational activities.

The exclusive mixed-use, master-planned community of Nordelta has an array of amenities and offerings that includes residences, restaurants, shops, a marina and a Jack Nicklaus designed golf course, as well as a shopping mall, medical center, sports club, soccer and tennis facilities, playgrounds and a private country club.

“Nordelta is a growing destination for multi-national corporations as well as local businesses,” said Jim Anhut, Chief Development Officer, IHG, Americas. “The opening of the new InterContinental Nordelta coupled with its broad array of amenities has created one of Buenos Aires’ most appealing destinations, ideal for both the business and leisure traveler.”

“It is with great pride that we open this beautiful hotel in Nordelta under IHG’s exclusive InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, one of the leading hotel brands in the world,” said Cristian Rojo with Innvest Developments S.A.

“We have a great deal of respect for IHG, and look forward to collaborating with them on additional projects in the future, such as the Crowne Plaza Greenville Polo & Resort project, also to be located in Greater Buenos Aires,” added Marcelo Macagno with Innvest Developments S.A.

"Argentina has long-been a strategic market for IHG,” said Ricardo Lopez, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, IHG, Latin America and Caribbean. “It is a country with strong domestic demand, and with great appeal for international travel. This new property provides another iconic InterContinental hotel in the region and is an excellent venue for meetings and conventions."

The InterContinental Nordelta Tigre - Buenos Aires Hotel, Residences and Spa joins the InterContinental Buenos Aires, which is situated in the city’s financial district, and the 180-guest room InterContinental Mendoza, which opened at the end of last year.

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts is IHG’s most prestigious hotel brand, located in major cities in more than 60 countries worldwide, offering business and leisure travelers the highest level of service and facilities.
