Acentic Asia addresses the local presence and support needs of all Asian hotels
COLOGNE, Germany, Sept. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Acentic, a leading supplier of broadband systems and digital interactive TV (iTV) for the hotel industry, announced today the opening of Acentic Asia, a subsidiary of Acentic Ltd.
Located in the iconic skyscraper Hopewell Centre in Hong Kong Island, Acentic Asia will bring Acentic's in-room entertainment Hotel TV system and Internet connectivity technology to the Asian hospitality market, along with consulting and support.
The office will serve international hotel brands and individual local properties with personalised attention to Asian market needs, such as localisation (translations), and support for local digital technology like Hong Kong's DMB-T over coax and IP.
"With no major player in the iTV market in Asia at the moment, the majority of the hotels here do not have a digital iTV system or even provide digital TV services to their rooms," said Richard Robinson, CEO of Acentic.
