Mandara Spa Ushers in a New Generation of Spa

When Glow®, a Mandara Spa, opens its first location at Tropicana Las Vegas the first week of November, Steiner Spa Resorts, a division of global spa provider Steiner Leisure Limited, will welcome a new breed of spa. Fusing beauty and fashion with sun, beach and play, the new $5 million Glow is a cosmopolitan spa brand marrying a modern and beach-chic lifestyle with beauty and wellness experiences for discerning jetsetters and travel connoisseurs.

Glow will be a see-and-be-seen spa in a class of its own — a private club-like setting intimate in size, but large in social scale. As Tropicana Las Vegas’ centerpiece for escapism, this relaxation hub also dubs as a sanctuary for beautification, a perfect segue from the play-by-day atmosphere Tropicana has created to the play-at-night Las Vegas lifestyle.

Marking the expansion of Mandara Spa®, a Steiner resorts division brand, the new edgier Glow is a modern-day oasis, featuring Glow signature services as well as Elemis® and bliss® in its treatment selections. The Glow concept is perfectly aligned with Tropicana Las Vegas’ design — a beach-inspired retreat — while keeping true to Mandara Spa’s cornerstone for memorable guest experiences, its commitment to health and wellness, and groundbreaking treatments and products.

“The launch and opening of Glow, the spa and brand, represents an evolution for both Tropicana Las Vegas and Mandara,” said Bruce Pine, senior vice president of land-based spas. “With this new spa concept, in essence a brand within a brand, we are further enhancing the guest and quality experience at Tropicana Las Vegas while branching out and creating the innovative offerings Steiner has always been known for.”

The Spa at Tropicana Las Vegas: Where All is a Glow

Keeping in concept with Tropicana Las Vegas, Glow is a contemporary spa, offering the best treatments in body, skin, hair, and nail care for women and men. The much-anticipated spa provides another dimension to Tropicana Las Vegas’ transformation — the ideal respite from the sultry scene at the resort, a getaway within a getaway.

“Glow is our vision of what the spa at Tropicana Las Vegas should be: a haven that offers recovery time from all activities and re-energizes our guests for more enjoyment,” said Arik Knowles, vice president of hotel operations, Tropicana Las Vegas. “We have built a spa and fitness center that is not only esthetically beautiful, but also an outlet to immerse yourself in another Las Vegas experience.”

At the 10,000 square foot Glow, each spa experience begins in the inviting spa reception where guests are welcomed and checked in prior to be being whisked away on a journey of self discovery. The lobby provides a first impression of the spa and brand: a modern, beach-chic feel with natural tones and wood elements, a place where sun and earth join to cast a light on inner and outer health and beauty.

Much like a resort itself, Glow mirrors the feel of a luxury boutique hotel on the beach. Featuring nine, serene treatment rooms and a full-service salon, the spa is designed in various wood and sand tones, textured fabrics, and stone elements. A conversation piece: the striking floor-to-ceiling glass wall with inset flowers on the entryway, providing a pop of tropical color.

At the spa, guests can prepare for some T.R.T. (total relaxation time) inside the ladies or gentlemen’s locker rooms. Each locker room features a locker area to keep belongings, a dry vanity, steam room, and showers. As an added amenity, the men’s locker room features a television as “me-time” includes TV time for Saturday and Sunday sports. The changing rooms are next to the Relaxation Lounge, a dim-lit quiet room with plush sofas, billowy fabrics, and refreshments, including fruit-infused waters and the herbal tea of the day. Here, the therapist greets the guest and escorts them to a facial or body treatment room. Couples will also be able to share the glow in one of three spaces; the Couples Wet Villa and Couples Wet Suite both feature a couples tub and couples shower to luxuriate before or after a Glow signature service.

Glow’s menu includes more than 50 treatments that will bring out a guest’s inner glow. From the signature Glo¬2 Facial, a breath of fresh air for the skin, to the Glow Light, encouraging shrinkage, and the Double-The-Glow Massage to glow together, each treatment has been created to provide the most indulgent and unique experience where one can discover what truly makes them shine.

In addition to the branded Glow services, the best of Mandara and Elemis treatments are featured in Glow’s menu, creating an unparalleled spa experience. Every skin and body care product experienced will be available for purchase at Glow to continue the quest for well being, beauty and radiance at home.

And for fitness enthusiasts, there is even more glow! Rev up endorphins at the Fitness Center, which overlooks the pool. With an array of Technogym equipment, including cardio, strength, weight and free weight, guests can get a dose of adrenalin while working out from dawn to dusk.
