Newly Opened Intimate Island Resort Offers One of the Largest Spas in Phuket
Starwood Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the opening of Spa Naka, the luxury spa at The Naka Island, A Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Phuket. The Naka Island is a newly-opened, all-villa island hideaway just minutes from the coast of Phuket. A hidden treasure of luxury in an exceptional setting, Spa Naka is one of the largest spas in the Phuket region, offering guests a menu of luxury experiences that combine traditional, time-honored methods and local ingredients to enhance and restore wellbeing.

At a spacious 770 square meters, Spa Naka by Luxury Collection is one of the largest spas in the region – an exclusive five-star sanctuary that focuses on the key principles of health, beauty and inner peace. With The Naka Island’s convenient, yet completely private, location just five minutes from the coast of Phuket, Spa Naka is the perfect retreat for guests of the resort as well as visitors to Phuket looking to sneak away for a day of luxury.
Spa Naka’s design is inspired by the rich indigenous culture, with a layout resembling a quiet Thai village. The buildings and walkways are constructed of natural stone with serene paths that meander through lush foliage and over water features, including a large Watsu pool, used for hydrotherapy. The spa offers eight private treatment suites, including four couples suites that feature outdoor rainforest showers, a private plunge pool, a steam room and steam bed.
Outdoors, a Relaxation Garden offers quiet seating and an opportunity to enjoy Spa Naka’s private organic native plant garden. Featuring a variety of herbs with special healing properties, the Spa Naka therapists will hand select fresh herbs to incorporate into treatments based on the needs and wishes of each guest. After treatments, guests can enjoy a soothing cup of tea made with herbs they have chosen from the garden.
Spa Naka Treatment Menu
Spa Naka offers a variety of luxurious treatments that pamper from head to toe, including the Spa Naka Phuket Unique Journeys, 180-minute custom-designed therapies that will return guests to a place of balance and renewal. These include the Spa Naka Ageless, designed to rejuvenate the often-neglected areas of the body with an intesive Fit & Firm Body Massage that utilizes massage techniques and ingredients to break up fatty tissues while simultaneously detoxifying the body and strengthening the immune system. This is followed by a Full Body Steam and deep cleansing Body Scrub.
Or, enjoy a holistic healing experience with the Spa Naka Ayurvedic Calming Touch, a series of treatments administered by trained Ayurvedic physicians. The Calming Touch treatment is designed to heal with a variety of medicinal herbs, and therapeutic treatments such as Abhyanga warm oil massage, Shirodhara de-stressing treatment, revitalizing foot massage, Marma therapy and Watsu water massage.
The Spa Naka Thai Temptation is a three-hour journey of relaxation and wellness that includes samplings of all the Spa Naka experiences. The journey starts with a full-body steam followed by the ancient Secret Thai Herbal steam and Thai Scrub. Settle into a full-body Thai massage, and finish with the Secret Thai Facial.
Other signature 120-minute packages include Sacred Nature, Tranquility Aromatic Ritual and Embrance for couples. Spa Naka also offers a rich menu of A La Carte 60 and 90-minute massages and treatments, along with body polishes, scrubs and wraps, facials and complete nail care.
For guests who prefer to remain in their villa, Spa Naka’s professionals will provide in-home treatments, including the signature 90-minute Naka Harmonize Thai Massage, Pampering Foot Treatment and a 60-minute Neck and Shoulder Massage. Also provided in-home are a series of relaxing indigenous bathing rituals, including the Aroma Fusion Bath, Ocean Detox Bath or the Renewal Naka Milky Bath.
