An official ceremony was organised to welcome her return which was attended by Pg Haji Mohd Zain bin Pg Hj Abd Razak, Acting Director of Muara Port, port officers and media. The port was previously part of the Royal Journeys of Legend of the Seas, a series of 10 to 21 night itineraries spanning countless exotic destinations throughout various regions such as Asia, Australia, Europe and the Middle East. Mr Kelvin Tan, Royal Caribbean’s Regional Director, Asia said, “We are pleased with the opportunity to call at Bandar Seri Begawan again, bringing our guests the best of Brunei at this interesting destination and giving a boost to the local tourism. Today, the cruising scene in Asia has much evolved and our Asian itineraries of Royal Caribbean International cater to international guests and even more so those from the region. Hence this is also a good chance for us to showcase Royal Caribbean’s renowned international style of cruising here.”

Brunei’s largest town, Bandar Seri Begawan, features one of the world’s most beautiful mosques, the majestic Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque. One can also immerse in the local traditions and culture at the Brunei Museum and the Royal Regalia Building, a museum of the sultan’s treasures. Kamong Ayer, the famous ‘water village’ of Brunei is a shopping destination for local souvenirs and handicrafts, where one can walk around on wooden planks that connect some of the houses.

The Vision-class Legend of the Seas is the most recent ship in the fleet to receive a bow-to-stern revitalization which includes greater culinary options, new visually stunning entertainment and activities onboard, as well as a refresh of all furniture and staterooms. On the culinary front, guests can now enjoy popular complimentary and specialty dining options namely Chops Grille, Izumi Asian Cuisine, the exclusive Chef’s Table and Park Café. The reinvented Centrum also features a new high-flying entertainment experience of aerialists gliding through the five-storey atrium, and a new large LED screen at the poolside is available.
