A 23-year veteran of the hotel industry, Morris began his career in 1989 as Room Service Attendant at Hyatt Grand Champions Resort (Palm Desert, CA) where he spent ten years working various operations positions. He was appointed Sales Manager in 1997. From 1999- 2008, Morris was promoted throughout Hyatt hotels in North America, crisscrossing the country in various sales positions. He most recently was the Director of Sales & Marketing at Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch from 2008 -2013, before moving to Los Angeles and Hyatt Regency Century Plaza. During his sales career with Hyatt, Morris received two nominations for Hyatt’s Director of Sales & Marketing of the year award. Morris and his wife Jean have two children, Connor and Abby ages 11 and 8, and in his free time he enjoys playing the drums, hitting the golf links and spending time outdoors.
