Kandolhu Island, is an exclusive hideaway with only 30 villas promising seclusion and relaxation. Many visit for the pristine coral and white sand beaches while others long for the serenity that only a private island can offer. The hotel is home to 5 types of different villas including many over water villas, some with private pools. Guest can also enjoy the four restaurants on the island, a spa and multiple non-motorised water sports including snorkelling, diving, windsurfing and paddle boarding. Or they can take a signature Kandolhu excursion; diverse trips are available from night fishing, big game fishing, sunset cruises, island hopping, sandbank excursions as well as half day Robinson Crusoe trips to a nearby deserted island.
Measuring just 200m by 150m, Kandolhu Island is the ultimate in tranquil luxury. It’s a 25-minute or 70 km seaplane trip from Malé International Airport and a superb beach holiday destination.
Spoilt for choice you’ll enjoy the most stunning panoramic views from any of the four restaurants on site including: The Market where you can enjoy an all-day a-la-carte menu specialising in international fare, or visit Olive, for a taste of Italy. The Sea Grill, set right on the beach opens as the sun sets over the island and serves fresh fish and seafood. Lastly the Japanese restaurant Banzai opens nightly for dinner and serves delicious sushi, succulent sashimi or grilled meat and seafood cooked to perfection.
