PHUKET, THAILAND – Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort will be the host venue for the ITF-sanctioned Phuket Beach Tennis Tournament 2014. The event will take place Friday to Sunday, 5-7 December 2014 overlooking Bang Tao beach in Laguna Phuket.
As part of the ITF Beach Tennis global tour, the competition will feature highly ranked players from Europe, the United States and Asia. They will compete for prize money of US$10,000.
Stadium seating will be erected for the games so that visitors can enjoy the highly competitive matches, which will feature 16 male and 16 female pairings.The tournament runs from 9am to 9pm each day.
Entry is free and food and beverage will be available at the venue. A DJ will be on hand to keep energy levels up.
The Phuket event at the Outrigger is the first of two ITF-sanctioned beach tennis tournaments being held in Thailand this year. Hua Hin is hosting a follow on event, 9-11 December.
Outrigger will provide accommodation for players and key officials, food and beverage to supporters as well as hosting a VIP beach barbecue for players, sponsors and officials.
