This latest venture, from the team who brought you PalazzinaG in Venice, has drawn inspiration from the country’s rich history and design prowess. Entrepreneur and owner Gabriele Salini and his business partner Emanuele Garosci masterfully blended the two together resulting in an unconventional “Made in Italy” concept of luxury.

Three Decades of Design

Each floor of the five-story hotel draws its inspiration from a different Italian designer from the 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s, including Giò Ponti, Ico Parisi, Silvio Cavatorta, Paolo Venini, Guglielmo Ulrich, Osvaldo Borsani and Archimede Seguso. Each suite features original furniture, and the 90 sqm penthouse affords a stunning view of the Sant’Agnese dome. The interior’s Fellini-esque visual landscape meshes fantasy and baroque, and is augmented by a custom-crafted luxury experience which includes a lifestyle manager and exclusive tours of the hidden side of Rome. The hotel also features a 35 sqm café and bar on the ground floor, which will showcase artwork from local up-and-coming designers and artists.

Made by Originals

The meeting between Originals, Gabriele Salini and innovator Emanuele Garosci - friends, business partners and bon vivants – was formed over a shared vision of redefining luxury. This and an unconventional approach to hospitality are the sparks that gave life to G-Rough. Salini’s passion for contemporary art, vintage design, and his Roman lineage that goes back nine generations, will allow guests to truly experience the Rome of the Romans.

Location and Rates

G-Rough is located a short step from Piazza Navona, the main market square in Rome for over 300 years. While the market traders are long gone, the convivial atmosphere and beautiful baroque styling remains. Featuring stunning fountains and a bevy of shops, bars, and restaurants, the piazza is still one of the most popular in the city and a perfect home base for travellers to the Italian capital.

Rates from EUR 425
