The land of emeralds has a new gem in the luxuriously intimate Four Seasons Hotel Bogotá, where every design detail is handcrafted, and every guest experience is completely personalised.  The second Four Seasons in the city spills onto the vibrant street scene, while providing a warm haven of customised service and sophisticated style for its guests.

“Bogota is having its moment on the global stage, and Four Seasons is thrilled to be part of it as we welcome both world travellers and local guests,” says Luis Argote, who grew up in the city and is now General Manager of bothFour Seasons Hotel Bogota and Four Seasons Hotel Casa Medina Bogotá.  “If you thought you knew Bogota, you’re in for a surprise, and if you’ve never been here before, I promise you’ll be back.”

Bogota, the “Capital of Cool”

Four Seasons guests can find out why multiple international publications have dubbed Bogota the new “Capital of Cool.”  In addition the boasting a pleasant climate year round, the city’s emerging culinary scene, thriving arts community and fascinating traditional culture, myriad historic sites and gorgeous surrounding countryside provide endless opportunities for exploration.

The introductory Stay Longer – Third Night Free offer at Four Seasons is the perfect excuse to try out the Hotel’s suggested three-day itinerary, and private tours to Monserrate Mountain, Paloquemao Market, the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá and more can be customised to guests’ preferences.

For travellers planning to go to Cartagena or Medellin, Colombia’s rich coffee region or the Amazon Basin, Bogota is the ideal starting point from which to get acclimatised.

In celebration of its opening, Four Seasons is also offering the Experience More package with a USD 100 credit that can be applied toward incidental charges including dining and spa.

The Look of Four Seasons Hotel Bogota

Inspired by the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains, Rottet Studio created a design aesthetic forFour Seasons Hotel Bogota combining pattern, texture, colour and craftsmanship that is epitomised in the bright new lobby.  Here, wooden screens form airy “walls” that climb up across the ceiling, enveloping guests in warmth accentuated with touches of rich green evoking Colombia’s famous emeralds.

An oasis of quiet glamour awaits guests who stay in one of 64 rooms and suites, with custom-made beds framed by dark leather headboards and panelling, and pale floors of locally-sourced hardwood. Throughout the Hotel, nearly all materials are Colombian, with furnishings, finishes and artwork all handcrafted by the country’s artisans and artists.  Featured artworks include pieces by Pablo Tomayo, Alicia Garavito and José Antonio Suárez Londoño, and a custom-designed, hand-beaded installation made in traditional style and spanning 40-plus-feet (almost 15 metres) is the backdrop for dining at Biblioteca restaurant.

Introducing Kūru Japanese Restaurant, and More

After beginning the day at Biblioteca, now reopened with a new look and a new menu, guests of Four Seasonsneed not go far to experience Bogota’s red hot culinary scene.  Next door, Four Seasons introduces Kūru, a fabulous new Japanese restaurant and bar opening for lunch midday and continuing into the night for cocktails, dinner and late night dining.  Featuring shareable sushi and sashimi alongside Japanese mains with hints of Latin American flavours, the heart of Kūru is the robata barbecue, which Chef Diego Soriano – most recently of the famed Morimoto in Mexico City – and his team grill skewered meats before the delighted eyes of their guests.

Hungry for more?  Head over to Castanyoles, a new Spanish concept restaurant introduced at the fully refurbished Four Seasons Hotel Casa Medina Bogota in the fall, just 20 minutes away by car.  Guests can also check in with either Hotel’s front desk team for recommendations for the hottest restaurants and bars as well as Bogota’s many hidden gems.

The Spa and Fitness Centre at Four Seasons

Understanding that a well-rested, healthy body and mind is even more important when travelling, Four SeasonsHotel Bogota has created a sanctuary of pampering, results-oriented therapies and high-tech fitness in an all-new facility.

Open to both Hotel guests and locals, the Spa encompasses five luxurious treatment rooms including an oversized couple’s suite, as well as relaxation lounges, steam rooms and a spa shop.  The spa menu features facials, massages and body treatments using internationally-renowned Biologique Recherche products and the Colombian spa brand Loto del Sur.  Several signature treatments were created especially for Four Seasons Hotel Bogota, including the luxe Emerald Body Wrap with mineral-rich mud from the country’s emerald-producing regions.

In the 24/7 Fitness Centre, state-of-the-art cardo machines and weight training by Matrix keep guests in shape, and for those who prefer to get their exercise outdoors, the Front Desk team can connect guests with bike rentals to partake in the ciclovía in this cyclist-friendly green city.

Thoughtful Luxury at Four Seasons

With just four to six rooms on each floor of three interconnected low-rise buildings, Four Seasons Hotel Bogota is the best choice for groups travelling together to enjoy the intimacy and customised service of a boutique hotel.  For social get-togethers or business meetings, two private rooms are available, and outdoor space can also be arranged.

In addition, guests of Four Seasons enjoy the personalised service for which the brand is world-renowned: multi-lingual staff to provide assistance and recommendations whatever the need or desire.  Services and amenities include business support, airport and city transportation, twice-daily housekeeping, laundry, round-the-clock in-room dining, complimentary newspapers, and much more.

Four Seasons in Central and South America

Four Seasons Hotel Bogota is the brand’s second opening in the city, joining the historic and now beautifully refurbished Four Seasons Hotel Casa Medina Bogota.  Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires with its highly acclaimed Elena restaurant and Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo is embodiment of pura vida style.
